Dr. Javier Alonso

MD PHD PA

Dr. Alonso was born in Bilbao, Spain, and came to the United States as a cardiovascular surgeon. He completed his board certification in general surgery at the University of Missouri and his cardiothoracic board certification at the University of California – San Diego. He worked with world-renowned physicians in California, such as Dr. Leonard Bailey at Loma Linda University, where he worked with a multidisciplinary pioneering team to bring infant heart transplantation to reality. After years of dedicating time to training and research, he moved to Texas, opened his own Vein & Vascular practice, and later founded Oceana Luxe Medspa.

He has devoted his life to enhancing blood flow to arteries and veins throughout the body. As a founder of treating venous insufficiency, Dr. Alonso uses minimally invasive treatments to address varicose veins. He is passionate about helping patients feel better and alleviate their symptoms. Getting rid of painful and noticeable varicose veins helps patients feel better and improves their quality of life.

He leads a team of licensed medical professionals as dedicated as he is to improving the community’s health. He constantly educates himself and his staff on the latest technologies to present the local community with medically proven results regarding cosmetic and aesthetic concerns. During his spare time, Dr. Alonso enjoys the beach, long walks, and eating many different types of seafood.

Lori Gonzalez

MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Lori Gonzalez graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC) in 2016 and began her career working in both the NICU and dialysis units. In 2020, she earned her Nurse Practitioner degree from TAMUCC, expanding her scope of practice. Before joining Texas Vein and Vascular in 2021, Lori worked in dermatology, where she performed a variety of dermatology procedures. She has an enormous amount of experience in treating all forms of vascular and vein disease and specializes in foam sclerotherapy, cosmetic sclerotherapy, skin biopsies, telangiectasias and performing Varithena procedures. In addition to her clinical work, Lori is passionate about mentoring future healthcare professionals and teaches nursing students at local colleges. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys reading and exploring new books in her free time.

Jennifer Olmos

DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Jennifer Olmos earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2019. With a strong foundation in intensive care, she gained invaluable experience working as an ICU nurse, including traveling to critical locations during the COVID-19 pandemic, serving in California, El Paso, San Antonio, and Brownsville, Texas. In 2024, Jennifer completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Texas Christian University and is now specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). As part of her doctoral work, she successfully implemented an ears, nose, and throat toolkit for a school-based health center, demonstrating her commitment to enhancing community health. She joined Texas Vein and Vascular in 2023 and has gained experience in treating all forms of vascular and vein disease and specializes in foam sclerotherapy, cosmetic sclerotherapy, telangiectasias and performing Varithena procedures. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family.
